When overloaded, seek out cuteness.

July 19, 2007

I’m not a complainer or a whiner, but I have to say my job is so busy and hectic sometimes I’m not quite sure what to do with myself.  My job is an intense juggling act, like yours I’m sure, and along the 8-hour winding road I travel each day I reach certain points of despondence.  These are points during which I can’t bear to look at the queue of tasks, much less do one of them, yet I can’t escape the office for iced tea or a simple rest on a park bench. kitten sucks thumbkitten sucks thumb

This is where surfing silly websites come in.  I’d be embarassed to admit it under any other circumstances, but not today.  No.  When I reach despair, I open up Cute Overload and check out the latest prosche kitteh, dabbity dabbity bunny, and almost-pornographic animal licks-n-love.  I gaze at the cuteness, take a deep breath, and get back to work.

I’m pretty mortified by this reality – don’t get me wrong, though, because I probably check out Reuters, Google News, and Arts & Letters Daily just as often.  Cute Overload is my on-the-job crack hit, I suppose.  It’s like eating a pack of Smarties.

I can’t believe it!!! I too check out cute overload while at work. I also check out stuffonmycat and stuffonmymutt. My co-worker and I e-mail each other cute pictures throughout the day. It keeps me sane.
